Internal Audit
This Department is headed by a District Internal Auditor (DIA) and its functions are:
 To improve on the proper use of public funds by ensuring value for money.
 Ensure safe custody of assets of the District
 Improve on the Internal Controls
 Ensure that procedures and guidelines as laid down in the Local Governments Act CAP 243, LGFARS, 2007 are adhered to.
 To ensure timely accountability and production of quarterly audit reports.
 To enhance Local Revenue Collection.
